SERVE ROCKLAND -- IT NEEDS YOUR HELP

SRCA's goal is to help preserve our county and our democracy.
Is hyper-partisanship, ideological fanaticism or religious extremism consistent with core American values and the Founders' vision for our democracy? We think not.

The above question needs debate.  Help SRCA do so.  Write a Blog Post.  Help organized a Zoom program.  These vital issues need non-partisan, non-sectarian discussion by all concerned citizens and our elected representatives.

TOWN OF STONY POINT --
TARGET FOR AN ULTRAORTHODOX TAKEOVER?

Available Land -- Regional Housing Demand
It’s the "Law of Supply and Demand"

If the Town of Stony Point makes large parcels of land available to the private sector, it is likely only a matter of time before such land becomes high density residential housing and perhaps religious educational uses such as a rabbinical college.

It's the Law of Supply and Demand. Money and the political power of the Bloc vote will insure that Hasidic housing and religious needs are met in the Hudson Valley and NYC metro area.
Stony Point will become a perfect target for a Hasidic takeover if Patriot Hills Golf Course and Camp Bullowa become available for private land use development without constraints on resale.  These properties must be safeguarded for the townspeople and the town's future.
The Stony Point Chapter of the SRCA will address Stony Point and North Rockland issues.

PUBLIC INTEREST PROGRAMS AND SPEAKERS

Civil Discussion and Debate

SRCA will attempt to host zoom and other meetings to publicly discuss the issues in a frank and civil manner, hopefully with subject matter experts and speakers with differing points of view.

ABOUT

Attorney Mike Diederich is organizing this association to address--in a civil, rational, non-partisan and unbiased manner--the serious issues facing Rockland County and the Hudson Valley relating to political hyper-partisanship, ideological fanaticism and religious ultra-orthodoxy, including by the nearby Satmar Hasidic sect located in Kiryas Joel.  The SRCA will discuss what religious ultra-orthodoxy may mean for local land use, the larger body politic, and the core values of American democracy.
